Location: Central Grace Bay, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
When We Stayed
For two fabulous weeks at the start of July 2022, we had the absolute pleasure of staying at Coco Gardens Villa Rental in Providenciales. We have travelled many times to The Islands as a couple but this was the first time we were travelling and staying with other family members. Like many of you out there, we were in need of something affordable, comfortable and could accommodate 5 adults. Coco Gardens Villa Rental ended up being the ideal rental for our group.
Our Search
We had come across Coco Gardens Villa Rental a few times in our search efforts and decided to reach out to the rental owner. Robin was always quick to respond to our questions and answered them honestly. After conversing back and forth and sharing our mutual love stories for Turks and Caicos, Robin felt like an old friend offering up her house for us to stay and enjoy our holiday. We decided to pull the trigger and book.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the equally lovely Donna, the on sight agent. Donna met us with open arms and warm welcomes to Paradise! She gave us the grand tour of the house, toured the back deck (it’s fab), explained how to use the AC units, suggestions on power usage (power is expensive), pointed out the numerous ceiling fans, made sure we had the wifi code, and then finally showed us how to use the alarm system when entering and exiting the house.
We really like when house rentals come with security systems. It’s not that we don't feel safe where we’re staying, we just like the extra security of knowing our belongings are safe when we head out to explore. This alarm system was extremely simple to use, we had no issues at all.
If we did have any questions, Donna was a quick text away and she always got back to us immediately. There was also a detailed book of in house FAQ’s left for our convenience. Every detail was covered.
About The House
The house is centrally located behind Coco Bistro/Coco Van and maybe 5 minutes drive from the nearest beach access point. We always rent a car so getting around from this location was a breeze. Just seconds off the main drag, it’s situated in a beautiful neighborhood with a shared pool and centre green space.
The pool is large. Large enough for two families to splash and swim comfortably, surrounded by beautiful palms and bougainvillea bushes. We used the pool several times and we were the only people in the community using it. We basically had our very own pool just steps off the front driveway. The pool area is fenced with a locked gate. Only those in the shared community have access to this pool. It’s not a public space.
The house itself was beautiful! It was beachy and inviting and had all the comforts of home. If you’re looking for the minimalist, white decor type house rental, this is NOT that house. This house is bold in color and design with a mix of old and new blending perfectly together. Above all, this house is livable, comfortable and spotless. It truly felt like our own home.
The Details
The house boasts a large family room/sitting area, huge dining table, separate office space with a desk and even more comfy sofa seating. A spacious screened in porch sits just off the main dining space. The kitchen had a large island and was stocked with everything you could possibly need and then some. Glassware for both indoors and out, even a few to go cups in case you forgot to bring one. Honestly, there was nothing we needed to bring, it was all here. The living, kitchen and dining areas were open concept and very spacious. Plenty of room for 5-6 adults to move around freely.
Two bedrooms sit just off the main living space. One with full bathroom en suite, the other with the second full bathroom just beside it. Both had King size beds. The third bedroom, which is a pseudo Casita, had a Queen size bed and half bath. It had access to the second bathroom in the main house for showering. The Casita is attached to the main house but accessible just outside the back door. It also had full security. All the rooms were beautifully decorated and each room had its own AC unit and ceiling fan. All the beds were extremely comfortable. I think we slept better in our guest room than we do at home. But that may have had something to do with the rum punch too, but hey, who’s judging!
Outdoor Living
The back deck was our main hang out every night. It’s a stunning backyard space with another beautiful dining table, outdoor kitchen, huge palapa with a ton of seating, separate hot tub area and lots of twinkle lights to keep you company under the palms. We relaxed out there every night, sharing stories of our day with each other and the neighbourhood kitty, Turtle, who really enjoyed the company and head scratches. We think Turtle has pretty good taste as she/he definitely chose the nicest back deck to hang out in.
You’ll also find a large outdoor double shower area in the back side of the house. A great place to rinse off those salty toes before coming back in from your beach day. And speaking of beach days, the rental came with all you need for a beach day. Beach chairs, umbrellas, pool noodles, cooler and some fun toys for the kiddos to use for their sand castles.
Final Thoughts
We honestly can’t say enough about our stay here and how much we thoroughly enjoyed it. We highly recommend staying at Coco Gardens should you be looking for something beautiful, affordable and clean. The decor is gorgeous and even more so, the house is comfortable. This house was beyond reasonably priced for its size, location and amenities. If we're travelling with a group again, we’ll definitely be starting our search with Robin and Donna.
